Pastoral Care

The Parish Pastoral Outreach Coordinator is responsible to see that those parishioners who are currently homebound, living in assistant living, rest homes, in the hospital  and with other special needs are being cared for. In addition, to develop and train pastoral ministry teams from within the parish who then “go out” and provide assistance when and where needed. 

Currently there are approximately 60 members of our parish involved in our pastoral outreach ministry who:

V Visit and bring communion to the sick in the hospital, rest homes, assisted living facilities and who are homebound in the parish.

V Attend training sessions that focus on pastoral care.

V On behalf of the parish, sending get well, sympathy and sacrament anniversary cards.

V Follow up after one is released from the hospital.

V Make sack lunches for the “We Deliver” Homeless Program.

V     Work on the Parish Annual Christmas Basket Program.

V Support for the New Hope Pregnancy Center

V Work with Human Resources Council and Parish Nurse to coordinate community resource information.
